What is: “My Favorite Things?”
My Favorite Things is a wonderful luncheon event sponsored by the LaGrange Symphony Guild, as its main fundraiser. Each year, this exciting social gathering features beautifully themed tables, delicious food, auction items, vendors, art displays, guest speakers, and entertainment. All proceeds from this fundraising event support mentoring and music education for young musicians in conjunction with the LaGrange Symphony Youth Orchestra, String Project, and Summer Music Camp. The Guild members work tirelessly to make this event memorable and fun and every year the result is fabulous. Executive Director for the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, Raylene Carter stated, “My Favorite Things and the tremendous support of the Guild is critical to the success of our youth programs, many of which have continued throughout the past 20 months when much of the world was “on hold.” It will be wonderful to gather as we greet friends, meet new people, view artistic creations and complete some of our holiday shopping while we support these amazing young musicians.”
A Slight Holiday Twist
Of course this year’s event has a slight holiday twist to it, being held on Tuesday, November 30th! What a great way to get into the holiday spirit and have fun shopping for special and unique gifts. The Guild is very happy to finally be able to host this event, which had to be cancelled in 2020. The 2021 event will be slightly smaller than usual, but will still be very festive and a lot of fun. Reservations are taken for up to eight per table. We hope you will join us!
Here are some specifics
- This year’s My Favorite Things luncheon will be held at Del’avant Event Center at 141 Main Street in LaGrange, Georgia.
- The date is Tuesday, November 30th.
- Tickets are $55, and can be purchased through any Guild member or by emailing info@lagrangesymphony.org by November 12th.
- Doors will open at 10 a.m. on November 30th with lunch being served at 12 noon.
- Easily park and enter from the Municipal Parking Garage on East Broome Street, downtown, LaGrange.
