Symphonic Concerts for Young People
Serving more than 2,400

Each year in February, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra presents our Children’s Concerts to more than 2,400 public, private, and home school third grade students from Troup and Meriwether Counties in Georgia and Chambers County in Alabama.
Educational initiatives are an important component of the LaGrange Symphony’s community outreach, and school children across West Georgia benefit directly from opportunities for significant musical experiences we provide.
Whether it’s through our Musicians in Schools initiative, our annual Children’s Concerts, or Ovation! Summer Music Camp, our commitment to music education is unwavering.

The LaGrange Symphony Orchestra creates the moment of music in local schools with its Musicians in School program, which sends small ensembles into area classrooms, reaching hundreds of children annually.

The Orchestra Board is committed to the Musicians in School program and, mindful of continuing budgetary challenges for school arts programs, seeks to expand its outreach as additional funding is available.
