Wind Instruments in 2025
Calling all young artists – the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra’s 29th annual Young Artists Competition (YAC) is for WIND INSTRUMENTS! This event will be held in LaGrange, GA on February 1st, 2025. Applications are now being accepted. Deadline for receipt of all materials is December 6, 2024 so don’t delay!
The Young Artists Competition is a rotational event between Winds, Strings, and Piano. This upcoming February 2025 event is for Wind instruments, while the 2026 event will be for strings, and 2027 will be for piano.
Prizes
Contestants vie for three prizes: The Dorothy Allen Turner Award for first place is $1,500 plus a concert feature with the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra!; The Max Kaplan Award for second is $1,000; and the NOTE Award for third is $500.
