Welcome 2026!
We look forward to many happy times within this next calendar year. A few events in early Spring include several full orchestra performances where all third graders in our local area are graciously invited to learn about and experience the “Thrill of the Orchestra.” Also in February, the 2026 Young Artists Competition will be held for string instruments after which our March concert will feature the winning performance from that competition. That same March concert, titled “Epic Adventures, Myths, and Galaxies”, includes a segment where our Youth Orchestra joins the LSO in the annual side-by-side performance–giving the LSYO students valuable large orchestra experience. The March concert gets even more extraordinary as it blasts off to worlds of fantasy and galaxies of adventure. The LSO will bring you some of the most exciting and beloved film scores of recent times. Once you have flown through the clouds and trained your dragon, join us as we take the epic journey with the “one ring to rule them all”! Then – off to the stars with an opportunity to experience the complete suite from the original Star Wars movie, including the wonderful Main Title music, the beautifully lyrical themes for Princess Leia and Yoda and more! AND, that is just the March 24th Concert!
