Audition requirements
1. Two selections (of the auditioner's choice) in contrasting styles from the standard repertoire.
2. The conductor will ask to hear selections from the following two orchestral pieces:
a. Festival Overture by Brahms
Winds - all
Strings - last page

b. Polovtsian Dances by Borodin
Winds - all
Strings - last two dances

The LSO currently has openings in the following sections:

principal bass
all string sections
principal bassoon
